I read an article yesterday about concern over health risks for NFL players because they are so heavy. The article suggests that the “NFL offers sophisticated and free cardiovascular screenings for retired players and urges them to exercise and eat sensibly.”
Hmm, I wonder if they urge current players to eat sensibly. Mostly, however, I wonder if the NFL has any concern for the much larger (yes, both meanings) population who sit on the couch and watch NFL games. I’m guessing they’re not offering free screenings or urging them to skip the Super Bowl. Put aside the chips and dips, and go for a swim.
